Missions for Ebola in Guinea (2014-2015)

At the outset of the worlds largest outbreak of the Ebola Virus, Jean-Claude was sent to the main hospital in the Guinean capital Conakry in April 2014, and then subsequently to the French Red Cross Ebola Treatment Centre in Macenta in January / February 2015.

In the first days of January 2005, Jean-Claude went to Colombo and travelled widely across Sri Lanka to assess the potential impact of the tsunami on future outbreaks of infectious diseases.

The 12th March 2003, the World Health Organisation launched a world health alert on SARS-1 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrom) after developments at the French Hospital in Hanoi. Together with a team of French doctors and nurses, Jean-Claude arrived on the 15th of March to assist in the investigations and virus detection.
